| For the first time since its premiere in 1972, EQUITANA 2022 will bring the equestrian world together again in an even year. At the same time, the industry’s largest international trade fair will celebrate its 50th anniversary. Since its foundation, it has always played a pioneering role and set standards.Seven instead of nine days
EQUITANA has already brought numerous breeds and riding styles to a large audience, passed on knowledge and provided unforgettable experiences. “We would like to continue this tradition next year. The new date offers us the historic opportunity to really celebrate the anniversary after 50 years,” emphasises EQUITANA Director Christina Uetz. She is thus keeping her promise to offer visitors and exhibitors an alternative at short notice after the cancellation of the event in March 2021. “We are very happy to have found a period in close coordination with Messe Essen that largely corresponds to the usual framework of EQUITANA.” Next year, the World Equestrian Show will be held over seven days instead of nine and for the first time during the Easter holidays. “We hope that this will give more visitors the opportunity to come to Essen on weekdays as well.”
Innovation award in the anniversary year
Exhibitors from all over the world as well as renowned brands will show their products and innovations in the eight modernised exhibition halls. The most creative developments in the industry will be honoured by the Innovation Award, which in the anniversary year will again focus on products in numerous categories that make everyday stable life more beautiful, safer and easier. Experienced trainers teach ways to success in lessons and training evenings. The highlight of the fair day is the Hop Top Show in the evening with magical moments between man and horse. So it’s worth making a note in your diary of the date for EQUITANA’s round birthday.
